Ali's presence also was felt on TV screens. Ali appeared in numerous TV series including A Man Called Hawk and Wally and the Valentines, The Cosby Show and Getting By, Are You Afraid Of the Dark?, Kidz In the Wood and Living Single. In terms of her work, Ali's breakthrough came in the year 1990 when she created Ashley Banks come to life in the hit TV series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
