Ashley Graham was born on November 22nd of 1989 in Lincoln Nebraska. Her family consisted of two younger sisters, and often was bullied at school for her big legs. Graham was diagnosed as having attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder shortly after graduating from elementary school. ) however she managed to overcome the condition and additional personal challenges throughout her childhood. A talent agent spotted Graham at the age of twelve in the Nebraska shopping center. Before graduating from Lincoln Southwest High School in 2005, she was featured in various magazines and billboards. She had a unique physical shape that made finding employment difficult when she first started. Graham received numerous job offers as catalog ladies over the course of several years. She was however told by many that there could only be jobs that were simple. She was fortunate enough to show that session casters were wrong and the career of her choice grew quickly. In 2007 the magazine interviewed her by Sally Singer of "Vogue" magazine, which gave her one of her first big breakthroughs. In 2009, she appeared on "Glamour magazine"'s "These Bodies Can Be Beautiful regardless of size" alongside Sally Singer. Graham was in the news again in 2009 as she appeared in a scandalous Lane Bryant commercial that ultimately was banned across the globe. When the ad was removed from YouTube the video had already been viewed over 800,000. The controversy escalated to the point that Graham appeared with Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show." Graham became well-known and one of most popular plus-size women of today. Grande was a young girl when she began singing and acting. In 2008, she got a part on The Broadway show 13 before she began to appear on TV in smaller roles. It was in 2010 that she had her biggest breakthrough when she was offered a role on the Nickelodeon television show Victorious. She was Cat Valentine, a teenager who attends a performing arts college. The show ended in 2013, and she was a part of the spinoff show, Sam & Cat.
