Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and former chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and previously taught cooking. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, shares simple and easy to master cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. The chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also learned about Italy's food traditions and the culture of Italy, along with the natural environment. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food at an early age. After obtaining an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is a wonderful experience. I couldn't learn enough couldn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. After graduation, chef Burrell went on to spend one period of time in Italy attending Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she grew to truly comprehend and appreciate the philosophy behind Italian food and culture that made a lasting impression on her culinary viewpoint. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children who are facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness. Burrell speaks on her culinary passion, and also shares her knowledge of the culinary world as she frequently is in the United States for various roles such as mentors and speakers. Anne has always been grateful she was able to share her passion of her life, cooking with others.
