Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru, and mixed martial artist who is competing for the UFC in the Flyweight Division. She is an Kyrgyzstani. She is the younger sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champion and co- UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina then won a Silver Medal in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008, and a Golden medal in 2011, as the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia has started her professional career at the age of three, was awarded in 2012 and 2016 the World Lion Fight Lightweight Champion. It was also the WMC World Championships were held in 2016 and she won the 2016 IFMA Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by an unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She was victorious via TKO in round 2 and the subsequent 2 matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko stopped fighting to concentrate on boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui in an unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in the same decision. In 2018, she resigned from the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina utilized superior strikes to TKO Nievera by knees to her body while in the fight. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended in the wake of this win. Antonina made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko fell to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision following her debut fight. Antonina bounced back from losing to beat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the evening for this bout. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights.
